The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) functions similarly to other visa waiver programs like the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) in the United States. This system is for travelers from visa-exempt countries (such as the United States) who plan to visit European countries, like Italy and Cyprus, for short-term stays. It is not a visa, but you must get approval before boarding your flight, train, or cruise. ETIAS processing can take up to 30 days.

The dress code will be semi-formal, neutral tones, and inspired by timeless Italian fashion. Think of the various shades of tan and brown found in a cappuccino! For specific examples of what this might look like, check out this Pinterest board.

We will be staying at Il Casolese from Saturday, October 4, through Saturday, October 11. Il Casolese is in Vignamaggio, a Chianti estate in Tuscany. The ceremony and reception will take place at La Fattoria, another Vignamaggio property. Dates, times, and addresses for the welcome dinner, the wedding, and the farewell dinner can be found on the homepage.
For more information on the Vignamaggio properties, visit the “Venue” page.
Absolutely not! Your presence on our special day is our present. Since you are making the journey to Tuscany for us, we are not expecting a physical or monetary gift in return, we mean it!
If you truly feel compelled to give, please see information about how to do so on the “Gifting” page. While this is not expected, donations will help fund the accommodations for our family and friends while we are in Tuscany.
In addition to the ceremony/reception on October 8th, we are offering a welcome dinner on October 5th and a farewell dinner on October 10th. Please note on your RSVP which of those you’re planning on attending. Outside of those, you have free rein to explore Tuscany!
The “Activities” page goes into detail for this exact topic! Outside of the welcome dinner, wedding, and farewell dinner, you have free rein to explore Tuscany!
While information about traveling through Rome is in the document on the “Travel” page, we do NOT recommend this for many reasons. In the Catholic Church, 2025 is a Jubilee Year, also known as a special year of grace and spiritual renewal. In Italy, it’s particularly significant in Rome, where it attracts millions of tourists. In general, Italy’s tourism season is from May to October. Additionally, the new Catholic pope is expected to increase travel to this area. All of these factors combined are why we do not recommend going to Rome, but the provided document provides travel information to Rome and alternatives.
